We have an 18 year old who has received regular cleanings at our vet over the years. But our Vet says she is reluctant to put him under anesthesia now due to his age. He has gotten very cranky in his old age and will no longer allow me to brush his teeth, and they have gotten really grungy. There are so many products that claim to remove tartar, but I'm skeptical of solutions that sound "too easy."

Has anyone found any of the various chews, sprays, gels, water additives or food that really works?
