Sounds like it did work. That's usually the problem with pullers,
our impatience not to always stop and stand there until they quit pulling before we walk on in frustration. Teaching our dogs pulling causing stopping doesn't happen overnight but over time, they eventually learn what happens each time they pull. Persistence and patient repetition is key to teaching our dogs anything. As dogs get older and/or time passes during training and they learn that we both quit moving forward with each pull on the lead, they eventually figure out that pulling is what stops them moving forward and eventually learn to stop pulling, that walking with a slack leash is what it takes to keep mommie or daddy moving forward.
