Love Becoming a responsible breeder

Hello to all!!
We have had yorkies for many years and LOVE the breed. We have very few if any responsible breeders in our state. I would love to become a responsible breeder and find a mentor to help me with this.

I was a not so responsible breeder of one litter several years ago. Things turned out well. But, although I researched and educated myself like crazy I knew it wasn't the proper way of doing it. The puppies were not sold but given as pets to friends and family. We had a total of 4 puppies, the runt was rejected by the mother around day 5 and despite our enormous attempts to keep him going he died at 10 days old. The other 3 puppies were happy and healthy. But I LOVED every minute of the experience.

So, now I would like to purchase and breed yorkies the right way. Making sure to do things right. I would probably only be a very small breeder. Maybe starting with 2 females and a male. Any help would be greatly appreciated. As well as information on finding a mentor.
