No, I don't believe that tiny-ness dictates health. I have 2 that were/are more tiny and they are very strong, healthy, sturdy, great eaters, active. The only real difference I find is that you really do have to be careful having something so teensy underfoot...and you have to help them with stairs to get on furniture etc.
Nah, I don't think you can hold a pup too much. If she loves being held, that's awesome! My Marcel was exactly like that; and to this day, he is so sweetly affectionate.
