She is still bow legged and the orthopedic surgeon said that she has slight (20%) bowing at the wrist. The orthopedic surgeon said she didn't need supplements, no special exercises and no vitamins. In fact, the orthopedic surgeon said that she should be treated as a normal puppy because she is a normal (even if she is a ridiculously cute) puppy. The orthopedic surgeon suggested that the cause had been poor nutrition before she became a part of my family.

I'm just so glad that she isn't in pain and that she is going to be okay! I have been so worried about my little princess.
I am so sure you have been worried. I am glad that the ortho did not recommend surgery on a young and growing puppy. But slight is not 20% slight might be 5 0r 6%. Maybe different for doggies but for humans a curvature of the spine at 20% would definitely be defined as scoliosis. \That would also go for the long bones ie the legs etc.

My first guess would have been nutritional deficiency as a growing puppy. That being before you got her - sic from the breeder. And yes there could be a genetic component, hard to tell right now.

However encouraging good muscular development is never ever amiss. And yes I think no supplements as their efficacy has not been proven.

I have somewhere on here a whole detailed response on some exercises you can do with your puppy. I just have to find it.
