This seems a very, very odd thing for a vet to actually say bc it's just not factual or scientific. I guess I would see a different vet...? And this poor dog cannot go thru its life with *no* health care whatsoever bc of your fear of taking him to the vet . I would get a prescription for Acepromazine and tranquilize him prior to the vet, and get him in there for a yearly exam and bloodwork asap. Is that not worth trying for him...?
