I don't blame you. I wouldn't either if I had 40 years worth of a pension coming and a 401K with stock prices as they are now. My Dad retired early. Crazy early. Went to work at 17 and put in 30 years for the same company. Then they had him come back and work on call after hours for them to fill orders while he was drawing his retirement. He did this for another 10. He got paid whether they called him in or not and usually went down there twice a week for 30 to 60 minutes at a time depending upon the order. It added another 10 to his pension. I bought him his first computer and he learned to trade stocks on it which he loved doing. He was retired for almost half his life. From watching my Dad and how much he enjoyed his retirement, I am a firm believer in getting out of there when you can. His contemporaries that stayed for years almost all died young.
