I don't know, exactly, what you mean by "too high"...? I firmly believe in higher protein for canines - not higher carb kibbles. There is a good chance the loose stools you're seeing are *not* from protein levels. Chicken/poultry is one of the highest sensitivity-causing foods for dogs bc they've been so exposed to it over time.

Get them off all poultry and grains. Try something Natures Logic Venison. Otherwise, even PetsMart has lots of choices for poultry/grain free.

Lastly, are these 2 related? If not, then it's very unusual they'd just both be experiencing soft stools at the same time - it could be something like giardia, which can be very subtle in symptoms in many adult dogs.
