Pest control around or in the home generally isn't that helpful. Pesticides used on lawns and in gardens probably have the most impact. Most of our ticks here fall out of trees onto us. I was working in our yard once and came inside, bent over to pet Teddy, and a tick fell off my head and onto Teddy. I was able to get the tick off of him quickly.

Teddy is a magnet for ticks. He must have the right scent because the bugs always go to him and leave Max alone.
Callie used to be a HUGE tick magnet until we moved. We have three acres and only have tress lining our property and a few lining the drive way. We have only had 4 maybe in the four years we have lived here. Of course when we got Joey and before he was on any tick prevention he got one. I'm pretty chill when they are on the pups but when they are one me I don't handle it well lol.
