Appetite can also play a part- a hearty eater will be bigger/more solid. Sunny's mom was 8lbs & his dad 4 lbs; breeder predicted he would be in the 6lb range. He was biggest of his litter & is a voracious eater, hence he's in the 8-9lb range (can't know for sure as Mr. Squirmy refuses to stay still on the scale!). If we fed his as much/as often as he wanted he'd weigh a whole lot more, too. |
