I bet it's cleaner that Hubbard. I see sand and trees; so a big improvement. Dallas and some surrounding Counties are known for it's rich, fertile blackland. It grew great cotton and still lots of farming. The area they flooded for Hubbard was mostly farmland. No trees. And blackland makes a muddy muck when wet, unlike sand that settles better.

My two favorite lakes up this way are Possum Kingdom and Cooper. PK is gorgeous, but lots of rocks. Water is very clear. Cooper has pines and other assorted trees. There are other nice lakes, but I tend to avoid those on blackland if I can.
