Izzy B. is almost 5 months old. She has had the hairball cough almost since the day we got her. Since she is our seizure puppy she has been to at least 5 vets including several at Oklahoma State University who have all been told about the cough but none of them seem to be too concerned about it since they have listened to her chest and all is fine there. I just always run check her when I hear her cough to make sure she isn't chewing on something she shouldn't be and choking on it and if not, I just leave her be and she gets over it. She does this a few times a week but used to do it several times a day. I agree with the person who mentioned the vets not disinfecting their scales!!! Last time I had Izzy B. in some people brought their dog in and said it had been vomiting all day. They took the dog and weighed it and then someone else brought their puppy in and it went right to the same scale. I used to work in a doctor's office so I am very conscientous about germs!!! I am sure they are just as bad for our little furbabies as they are for ourselves and our children.
