I'm not sure this has anything to do with what your puppy is experiencing, but my daughters yorkie went to the vet Monday for a GI irritation-which he treated and sent her home. He failed to mention that a virus causing an upper respitory infection and sore throat is running ramptant. Well two days later my dashhound has a terrible cough(sounded like she was trying to cough up a hairball) scared me to death, took her to the vet--two shots/two precriptions later we go home to worry about our jack russell Sophie and the yorkie Lacey getting sick. Sweetie is much better but guess who gets up this am with the same cough --Sophie-- called vet/told me how to dispense her dose of meds.. I also ask for the dose for Lacey. I'm just waiting for her to start coughing. Would really like to pinch the vet's head off. Not really but what was he thinking not to warn his clients about this. This stuff is very contagious and is all over GA and North FL and South AL. So be careful and ask your vet if he has seen any of this at his clinic, cuz it doesn't seem like they volunteer this type of information.(if you haven't figured it out I'm Brittabug mama) |
