I also agree that the price is way too low. Most well-bred Yorkies, Parti's, Biewers sell for $1500 to $3000.

I don't really understand why she couldn't use PayPal to pay for other things though. PayPal is awesome in that you can link it up to your bank account. I think that's just a really bad excuse!

And very much agree with Monroe that the best breeders will let you visit their home and meet the parent (whether mom or dad, because usually the other parent is from another breeder, otherwise, you risk getting a puppy that is inbred).

During my initial search, I almost wanted to have a puppy shipped to me across the country. I wanted a Yorkie really really badly, and within a certain timeframe. But it just didn't feel right! Then I read many threads here on YT and learned about all the bad backyard breeders there are out there that breed sick puppies. Just go into the "Sick & Injured" board and you can search for plenty of unfortunately puppies who were not healthy because of poor breeding, some that die after a couple years.

So take your time to find a reputable breeder. Then, ask them for other breeders they know as a reference. You can never be too careful these days!
