I too work an 8 hour day and would leave my baby while at work all day.. she potty trained immediately so I would not lock her in a crate all day for fear of her having anxiety but I would babyproof my bedroom or any room with all her necessities so she had full roam of the room and lock her in... I know this sounds crazy and people at work would make fun of me but I also left the tv on for her everyday so she wouldn't feel so all alone.... when I got home she was overjoyed with excitement and would take about half an hour to calm down....6 mos later I got her a yorkie brother they are like two peas in a pod them too.... I got him specifically so she would not be alone.... now I have two very exciting baby's daily when I get home but now they have each other to horse all day!
