We have a little patch of fake turf from Home Depot in our back yard - and it looks so great/neat after several years - I'd get the turf if I were you. The fence only needs to be tall enough so that she cannot jump over, if you want her contained to that area. How big/small you go can depend upon how often you want to clean up..ie, if you don't want to constantly be picking up poo - then you'll need it at least a little bigger. Ours is maybe 12ft x 6ft or so...?
