My little girl now 11 years needs a spleenesectomy done due to a large mass they found on the SPLEEN . The problem is that she also has an elongated soft palate making it difficult to intubation her for surgery . The surgeon recommended correcting the enlongsted soft palate and then doing the spleenesectomy all in the same surgery . Any one here that has gone through this before? Your opinion or help is greatly appreciated. I am terrified about having 2 surgeries done at the same time , but one problem can not be taken care of without the other, the mass on the SPLEEN is just a matter of time before it could burst , no one can tell. I pray to God.
