Default Conjunctivitis

My daughter's two year old Yorkie gets conjunctivitis repeatedly. The vet says it is an allergic reaction perhaps to herself???? Currently she is on Temarel and eye drops. She recommended Coricidin at the first sign of its return. ( no Coricidin while on Temarel). She is really bothered by the itchiness and pain and is constantly rubbing her face against the grass and carpet.

She stays with me for weeks at a time. For example, she's been here since Christmas while my daughter in abroad on business. Of course, I give the meds and drops as instructed and bathe her eyes with warm compresses four times per day, but is there more I can do?
