Your little dog is a sweetheart - and so fortunate to have someone who takes such loving care of him.
He definitely has a neurologic deficit, but you are making sure he has a wonderful life in spite of it.
I had a kitten (that I watched having trouble being born - and then not moving for quite some time). But we got him up and going and there was definitely something wrong with him. Among other things, his eyes were crossed and not normal at all. We were all doing fine in spite of his problems, but unfortunately, one day, when he was six or seven months he just didn't come back into the house after being in the backyard for a while.
He and my other cats and my dog always enjoyed lying in the sun on our patio - for hours every day. I will never know what happened to him and still think of him often.
I have never had a handicapped dog, but have seen many on TV that people are taking such good care of - with special love and devotion.
Again - good for you. Your little dog really does sound like an extra special sweetheart - and very easy to love.
