All service dogs usually have rigorous training to undergo to get certified. Think guide dogs for the blind, seizure alert dogs, personal assist dogs. Etc. |
The law in the US is emotional support dogs are not required to go through any testing and there is no certification for them all you are required to have is a letter from a doctor. Even with service dogs there is no actual certification required. One of the biggest issues is actually all these websites that say they can certify your service dog when really your just getting a piece of paper that means nothing.
