These meds pretty much never work for dog allergies. Not to mention Benadryl must be given every 4-6 hrs to maintain any therapeutic level bc of its short half life in the body.

The only meds that seem to actually work are Atopica, Apoquel, Temaril-P, and steroids.

I don't really think it's great for a dog to try to treat the breathing issue - you should treat the issue way before that would ever happen - which is where Atopica and Apoquel come in.
