I'm not an expert. But if your vet said he can't see your dog's waist, then he's definitely overweight. You should do what he says. Teapot I think is a dog that exceeds the standard weight of the breed but not because it's fat but mostly because of the height, lenght, not because is necessarily fat. I agree with the comment that usually puppies are never fat, but I've seen it all hehe. But I'm sure your dog is beautiful and healthy. Just check the amount of food you give him. He'll be fine.
