Just talk softly and treat heavly afterwards!

Pixie shook like a leaf at first. I felt like a very mean mom. But It has to be done. And the only way to get over it is to do it. Each time you do it it should get easier if you remaim calm and show them that it is not a bad thing your doing. I treat Pixie when we are done. She really looks forward to the treats. Maybe treat at each stage of the grooming if your dog is really hard. After the brushing out before the bath treat, after the nails are cut treat, after the bath treat, after you work on the face treat, after the blow dry treat, and if you do a top knot treat. Make them high value treats! Some dogs will do anything for a high value treat! I use chicken. She goes nuts for chicken! Its like puppy Drugs! They can't ever get enough! And just a taste will have them hooked!
