The time for feeling little bubbles passed. I would consider finding a different vet there's absolutely no risks to using x-rays after day 50 it's actually more useful all of my pregnant girls are x-rayed between 59-62 days it gives a better view of puppies, their sizes, and positions before whelping most breeders wait until closer to the due date for these reasons. If you google dog pregnancy you'll find a lot of helpful information. Not a lot of vets are well educated on reproduction it's not really taught it's glanced over for more "important" subject matters. If your girl is pregnant and an emergency were to happen you're going to need a more knowledgeable vet or you can put your girl at risks. When my vet retired and I had to find a new one I literally grilled them on everything they knew about dog pregnancies, emergency procedures a pregnant dam might need, if they knew how to preform a c-section if they ever had how many what were the out comes what's your personal success rate with them things like that because you literally never know what could happen and having an inexperienced vet does no one any good. |
