I have been looking but I want another male yorkie around 1-4 years old. Right now in my area the adoptable yorkies are older/senior or not exactly what I am looking for. I am also hoping to find one locally so I can bring Thumper and make sure that they get along before adopting. |
We took Peek to meet Tink at the humane society before adopting her. They were both in a strange place with other dogs around and I really don't think they displayed their true personalities there. Once they came home, I saw they were both trying to be the Alpha dog, which was hysterically funny as Tink was 4 x the size of Peek. They both had to be first at everything all the time... They even got stuck trying to beat each other through the doggy door!
They learned from me that fighting is not tolerated in my house, and eventually would just have growling matches when they disagreed with each other.
