Anytime any of my dogs had mucus in their poop, I saved it and off to the vet we went. It could be a number of things. My now 4 passed yorkies never had a problem with their anal glands. Call me a worry wart, anything out of the norm we were off to the vet. Hoping others can give you some advise before bringing your baby to your vet. Good luck.
