This was our journey which I hope won't be yours. In terms of lymphoma I don't think there are right nor wrong decisions eg whether to treat with chemo or just use supportive treatments. Try and get creative with the food. Zoey would eat one thing one day and turn her nose up at it the next. |
The food sounds exactly like Boomer right now. I have a Consult appointment for Monday but am trying to see if they can see me on Saturday. I had to send over Boomer's entire medical records for them to review. Once the doctor reviews it they will determine if he needs to be seen sooner. The receptionist said that with Lymphoma they try and get the dogs in ASAP because of how fast it progresses.
I am still not sure about Chemo I have heard both good and bad stories but I will go in with an open mind. I am hoping maybe there is a drug I can give him that isn't chemo that at least will alleviate any pain he is in.
He is still shaking constantly and barely eating so I asked the oncologist office if there is anything I can give him. My vet wants to wait and see what the oncologist suggests before prescribing any meds.
This is tough but I am trying to be strong. I hope to get in on Saturday as the waiting for the next steps are hard on me.
