I have lived in Michigan all my life and snow is just a normal part of living here. We get 6 inch snow falls and a few people might call in to work but the vast majority show up and life continues. I have a nephew who moved to Tennessee and he tells me that if they get a half inch of snow everything shuts down. We salt our streets and driving is fine. They throw sand down which I have no idea what that does. I want to move to Aruba.
With an average rainfall of less than 20 inches a year, an average daytime temperature of 82° Fahrenheit (27° Celsius), a location completely outside the hurricane belt, and the constant cooling influence of the trade winds, Aruba is one of the most temperate islands in the Caribbean.
