I have moved many times & most often I have 1 or more seniors & a few times I have had a senior that was blind & they have always done well. I think leaving him would devastate him so I would not do that. You say he's loosing control of his back legs ? Have you considered a doggie Chiropractor ? I use one for my pups both young & old & what a diff it makes. When you move, put his bed & dishes in the kitchen with a baby gate till you are done moving things in & that way he'll be out of the way of danger & have the security of something familiar with familiar smells & in time he will adjust to it all, mostly from the smells of all of your belongings & furniture. You will be surprised how fast he adjusts.
