My Sasha had this done last year. I don't know who it was harder on - her or me. It tore me apart to see that little shaved hip with such a big cut on it. But our babies are a lot tougher than we are. She came through it with flying colors just as I am sure your Max will. Just make sure to follow the vets orders for recovery and slowly but surely he will be fine. Before the surgery they are in pain with every step they take but they have never known anything else so it is hard to tell they are suffering. They just want to enjoy life. Once the healing is done Max will live a pain free life. The only time I see any signs of the surgery is when we are outside and Sasha goes into a full run, once in while she will lift that leg. Otherwise she is a happy vibrant sometimes bratty furbaby.

We will keep you both in our prayers.
