Yeah I've heard that too. Lu doesn't chew them too much though. We had the same one for almost a year before my sister's Shiba Inu had a go and the most she had done was scratch it. We keep an eye on them when they have their chews
If anyone has any suggestions on other chews though I'd be glad to try them out! Anything soft just gets eaten in no time. Lu used to love sitting with the rawhide and chewing it for ages but we haven't found a replacement for it yet that she likes as much :/
