So sad to tell you all that we had to put tiny girl to sleep a couple of hours ago. We're thinking she may have aspirated during a feeding and took a turn for the worst. I called an on-call vet who said to bring her in but then said they may not have everything to treat her. There is no 24 emergency hospital in our area. We had to drive 1.5 hours away to get to one and they said she was too far gone and gasping for air. My heart just hurts cuz I tried so hard to save her. Now mom seems to be looking for her and is getting more protective over the remaining bunch. Is there anything I can do for her to help her realize and accept there are only three babies now?
