I have 6 furbabies and 5 are yorkies and one is a maltese. And I have to say.... each dog is different..... Most of my yorkies don't have problems with tear stains but one of my girls is soooooooo bad. I've tried everything and I've even spoken to the vet about it. It get crusty and leaves her raw.... and even when I clean it everyday... it does not matter..... so I'm thinking about flushing out her tear duct. As the vet says it might help but they will have to sedate her for this. Has anyone here done that before? By the way, I am new and I've enjoyed reading all your post!
