Hi --

After much thought I am looking to get a Yorkie puppy (I probably prefer a male based on what I've read), ideally in the next 2-3 weeks as I will be off work for a couple of months and during that time will be able to dedicate almost all my time to raising the puppy.

I'm in the process of reaching out to all the breeders in this area listed on YTCA.org, but would be very grateful for any other references to reputable breeders, especially if they have any pups available now.

Also any tips for raising a yorkie puppy in a high-rise manhattan appartment would be much appreciated. It's a super pet-friendly building with a doggie daycare on site for when the pup grows up but last time I had a puppy I had a yard directly outside so I can imagine it's a bit more challenging being an elevator ride away from the outside...
