I found a few resources by a simple google search. I think that its pretty safe to give your dog raw chicken (careful with bones, etc) however given that a dogs digestive track can handle the bacteria often in raw food the expectation that it would cause the dog to get sick is different than it is for humans with salmonella for example. I think with a raw diet, you run the risk of not being nutritionally balanced so I think you should research more since your pupper doesn't care for rice and veggies. |
Feeding raw is supposedly good for their digestive system and their gut. But I agree with Rachael that it's the balanced diet you should be more concerned with. It's the main reason I decided to stick with a quality kibble (and also the fact that feeding raw is quite a bit more costly).
