Yes, a 4 yr old could absolutely hurt a dog, without any doubt whatsoever. Are they left unsupervised...?

IVDD is not uncommon. My Wylie has flares of it and when he does, he gets pain pills, steroid, and muscle relaxant for about 5 days and then it resolves.

I would most def get the xray asap!
