 Hope's leg is broken!!
Hope got out by herself today when my husband was home letting a plumber in to work on our washing maching - he found her and she walked up the hill to our house ok, but when we got home (about 3 hours later) and took her out of her crate, she could not walk on her front left leg!!
We took her to the emergency vet, and x-rays showed both bones in her leg were broken!! He is sedating her and immobilizing her now (he sent us home) and said it would take about 3 hours!!! I am a wreck!!!
We have a call into our regular vet (who just retired!!!) to see who she would recommend for the surgery (not sure her replacement is our choice, but waiting to her from our retired vet)!!!
Please keep good thoughts for her. Any of you folks who have gone through this, i am open to any help you can provide!!! Thanks! |
