Do you have an emergency vet around you that you can take him to? One that's open 24/7? It might be worth it just for peace of mind if you have to wait for an appointment at your regular vet. I will say one of my yorkies, who is 1.5 years old now, would throw up often and also backwards sneezes often. The vet told me the backwards sneeze is common and not to worry. She said to give him a snack before bed for the vomiting and that she could prescribe him some dog version of Pepcid. So not everything is a scary/serious as it seems but it's better to be safe than sorry.
