Hi there, although I have no direct experience with the problem you are having, a referral to a specialist sounds like the way to go. A second opinion is never out of order either. let your vet know that you still have concerns and ask him for his support to take the next step in identifying and hopefully solving/using best care practices for your dogs problem.
