I posted this on the Chihuahua message board but nobody really posts there so I'm begging the experts here for help.
I have a 2 year old chihuahua who was spayed yesterday. She weighs 3 1/2 lbs so the vet kept her overnight and sent her home today with pain meds. She is in so much pain yelping whenever she moves. She won't even lay in her bed. She's just standing in the kitchen with her tail between her legs crying. She hasn't eaten since Wed evening and isn't drinking at all. I offered boiled chicken which she loves and baby food per vets instructions. She's refusing everything so I gave her pain meds a little earlier at 7 pm and then called the vet shortly after. The vet tech said they would see her tomorrow or Sunday if she doesn't improve. Does anyone have any advice on how to help my baby?
