Default teeth

It has nothing to do with vanity. One of the expenses with Yorkies is a life time of dental care. Food collects between rows of double teeth..this causes tartar and can NOT be brushed away. Tartar causes the gums to recede, that leads to tooth loss. It is not uncommon to see a 3 or 4 yr old Yorkie already lossing teeth if they are neglected. Another nasty problem is bacteria that grows in the tartar..it effects the heart and causes heart disease.
I was at the my dentist this week and saw a sign about gum disease and the effects on the human heart...I told the dentist, dog breeders have known this fact for decades.
