I would think either room would be suitable for potty training. I replied in your other post with some more questions and advise. It would be good if the potty pad could be at least several feet from his bed, food and water.

When I potty train my puppies I put the potty pad at the far side of their exercise pen. Your puppy would have already developed potty habits so it would be best to discuss those with his current owner and go from there.
