Just checking in. The mucus plug in humans is usually a little pink. Stringing is a term commonly used with goats and is a sign of pre labor when the mucus changes viscosity and is more abundant. Keep an eye out for bad smelling discharge or signs of infection. Even though a temperature reading doesn't necessarily consistently signal labor it is not a bad idea to keep track of her temperature- especially if there are changes in her discharge. 'Hard dry yellow mucus chunk' doesn't sound awesome necessarily. Gentle excercise can definitely stimulate labor if it is time but I would be careful not to over do it. I am also glad you have close contact with your vet. My ears are perked for news!
