For the most part I agree with you. But if the facts are true, in this case a family washed their hands of a dog that they had, and the freaking shelter knew it! That is pure irresponsibility in my opinion.

We have relooked our situation and making new doggy plans in the advent of both our deaths. Knock on wood I have never had a dog go missing, but karma my cat disappeared for four days. I was beside myself. I kept on putting up posters callin shelters and local vets. Finally he did come home and looking no worse for wear either. I always suspected someone catnapped him and was local too.
