I dock my own. I measure about 1/3in past where the tan turns into black under the tail and dock there. Anything shorter than 1/4in past the tan will probably be too short. My 5 month puppy I docked closer to 1/2in past the tan and it's slightly longer than I'd prefer so I'll stick to 1/3in in the future.[/QUOTE]
Thank you! Lilah's is just barely past the black really. She was intended for show and her papa was finished but I think her breeder was still pretty new to the show circuit and was already kind of 'over it' with her experience in show unfortunately.
