That is just what I was wondering, I felt like I had been working to hold the breed standard in my mind but then didn't even remember that it stated front dewclaws were allowed to remain intact. Truly, I need to paint it on my wall above the yorkie castle! Lol. I feel like Lilah's tail is docked quite short. So short in fact that I feel like the aesthetic balance between her perky ears is a bit off. Though I will note that her tail hair has never grown very fantastically (a short docking recourse perhaps?) like dblains Lola- my goodness she has lovely tail hair! Even when Lilah is sporting a long coat her tail hair growth seems quite stunted.
Does anyone here dock their own tails? How do you determine the docking length? Is there a docked tail length determined by ytca or akc?
