Default WARNING: Medical marijuana for dogs. Exercise caution!

There are news reports going around about the benefits of medical marijuana for dogs. Take note that only CBD (cannabidiol) is approved for veterinary use. This is an ingredient of marijuana that does NOT make you stoned, and it has to be separately extracted from marijuana. The main ingredient of most strains of marijuana, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol, the ingredient that gets human stoned) is highly toxic to dogs. DO NOT feed recreational or human medical grade marijuana to dogs, and DO NOT blow marijuana smoke in their faces, either for medicinal purposes, or for a joke. They cannot metabolize it. It could kill them. If you do wish to use marijuana derivatives for your dog for medicinal purposes, do it under strict veterinary supervision. See the article below for details.
