Clean the eye area with a dry toothbrush. Mix one tablespoon of Whitening Polident with a little water to make a thick paste. ( It will have a bluish tint) With a baby toothbrush apply on the stained area making certain it does not go into the eye. I understand they don’t like the mint smell and most likely will complain for a few minutes. Wait ½ hour and wash face with shampoo. From what I read it works really well and does not irritate the eye area. Beginning next week, I'm going to apply it every other day, and will let you know the results. I’m not all that comfortable with this method, but her staining has increased since she was spayed and/or the arrival of the new kitty which coincided with each other. I’m also giving Eye Envy another try for now as I still have some left. Maybe I will have better results if I use it more often. I’m going to try it daily for the next few days. Tiki is such a pretty little girl, groomed daily, but the tearstains are driving me crazy.
