I don't know where you go but here in Toronto I always have t4 levels checked. However that is only a very general test. The offa does more specific thyroid tests, however they are expensive, say 300 or so.
Thyroid imbalances can cause a bewildering host of symptoms. Now I am assuming her sugar and insulin levels are fine.
