I have a maltese and love love love the breed!!! They do seem to pic one person that they are very loyal and attached to. They are not harder to potty train in my experience, but a little easier. Very silly and playful and laid back. Not as needy for attention as yorkies. Brushing is a daily thing of course. That's something that you have to be ok with. I love to groom my dogs, so that is not a complaint of mine. My last maltese lived to be 14 and never "yellowed"
